The reconstruction and expansion of Shangqiu-Lankao section of Lianyungang-Khorgos expressway is basically widened and expanded on the basis of the original road, and the route direction is the same as the old road. The starting point of the route is located at the east side of the junction interchange at the intersection of Shangqiu southeast, Lianyungang-Khorgos and Jinan-Guangzhou expressway (maintenance stake No. K360 + 960). The ending point is located at the east end of Lankao East junction interchange at the intersection of Lankao northwest, Lianyungang-Khorgos and Rizhao-Lankao expressway, connecting with the reconstruction and expansion project of Lankao-Zhengzhou section (maintenance stake No. k479 + 547). The route passes through Shangqiu south, Ningling north, Minquan south and Lankao south and successively passes through Shangqiu and Kaifeng. From east to west, it successively crosses with Jinan-Guangzhou expressway, national highway G105, provincial highway S206, Shangqiu-Zhoukou expressway, provincial highway S210, S211 and national highway G106. There are seven interchanges, namely Jinan-Guangzhou hub, Shangqiu south, Shangqiu west, Shang Zhou hub, Ningling, Minquan and Lankao, with a total length of 118.587 km.

On the basis of the preliminary design of pavement detection, the detailed supplementary detection of the existing Shangqiu-Lankao section of Lianyungang-Khorgos expressway was conducted again from May 5, 2013 to June 15, 2013.
