Provincial Highway S210 starts from the provincial boundary of Henan and Shandong in the northeast of Minquan County, Shangqiu City, enters Zhoukou City through Ningling and Zhecheng, passes Luyi and Dancheng in the south, and ends at the intersection of Shenqiu County and S238 in the southeast of Henan Province. It is an important north-south entrance/exit passage in the southeast of Henan Province, which is helpful to strengthen the connection of Shangqiu, Zhoukou, Shandong and Anhui provinces. It has a great significance on promoting the formation and development of the Industrial Development Belt along the line. According to the national highway network planning (2013-2030) issued by the National Development and Reform Commission in May 2013, S210 is the route location of the newly planned national highway G220.

This reconstruction and expansion is Dancheng-Shenqiu section of S210. The implementation of the project will play an important role and significance in improving the highway network structure, giving full play to the overall benefits of trunk highways, and promoting the exchange and development of Dancheng and Shenqiu counties.
